Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) has initiated recruitment process for selection of Constable Tradesman. ITBP Physical, Exam Pattern and Selection Procedure

Candidates whose application forms are found to be in order will be issued admit card. After verification of identity and bio-metric examination, candidates will have to undergo different stages of recruitment process in the order of tests as follows:
1. Height Bar and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Firstly, candidates will go through the Height Bar Test. Then candidates qualified in Height Bar Test will go through the following PET events.
Race : Male – 1.6 Kms Race in 7.30 minutes, Female – 800 Meters Race in 4.45 minutes
Long Jump : Male – 11 Feet, Female – 09 Feet (03 Chances)
High Jump : Male – 3½ Feet, Female – 03 Feet (03 Chances)
PET will be only qualifying in nature and it will not carry any marks.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates qualified in PET will have to undergo Physical Standard Test. Physical Standards (Height, Chest & Weight) for Constable (Tailor, Gardener & Cobbler) and Constable (Water Carrier, Safai Karmachari, Cook, Washerman & Barber) will be measured as follows:
Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha etc. category – 78-83 Cms
ST – 76-81 Cms
Weight – Proportionate to height and age
3. Trade Test
Candidates qualified in PET & PST will have to go through the respective Trade Test (of 50 Marks) as applied in the application form. Qualifying marks will be 50% for General candidates & Ex-servicemen and 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
4. Written Examination
Candidates qualified in the PST, PET and Trade Test will be allowed to appear in the Written Test.
Written Exam Syllabus/ Pattern – ITBP Tradesman question paper will be of 01 hour duration and will consist of 50 OMR based objective type questions (01 mark each). The question paper will be set both in Hindi and English. The Question Paper will comprise of questions on:
General Awareness/ General Knowledge – 15 Questions
Knowledge of Elementary Mathematics – 10 Questions
Analytical aptitude and Ability to observe & distinguish patterns – 15 Questions
Basic knowledge of English/Hindi – 10 Questions
Cut off marks for qualifying in written exam:
Gen/ Ex-Servicemen – 35% Marks
SC/ ST/ OBC – 33% Marks
5. Merit List
Trade and category wise merit lists will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Trade Test (40% weightage) and Written Test (60% weightage).
Selected candidates will have to go through documentation (checking of documents). In this stage candidates will have to produce all original documents/ certificates in proof of details as given in the application form. Educational certificates, Date of birth certificate, Experience certificate (if any), SC/ST/OBC certificate, Domicile certificate, Discharge certificate (for Ex-Serviceman), Relaxation certificate, Photograph etc documents will be required for verification.
7. Medical Examination
Candidates will be called for Detailed Medical Examination on the basis of merit of written examination and trade test. The candidates will be medically examined to assess their physical & medical fitness as per Medical Standards.
