Age Limit – 18 to 40 years as on application closing date i.e. 16 Feb 2023. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC and other categories will be applicable as per Govt rules.
Educational Qualification – Matriculation (10th Pass) from a Board recognised by State Govt or Central Govt with Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects). The applicant should have studied the local language and have knowledge of computer, knowledge of cycling and adequate means of livelihood.
India Post GDS Selection Process
Candidates will be selected for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak Branch Postmaster (BPM)/ MD/ MC/ Packer on the basis of higher percentage of marks in 10th Standard followed by verification of educational and other documents. In case of the marks lists containing the Grades/ Points, marks will be reckoned by taking conversion of Grades and points with the multiplication factor (9.5) against the maximum points or grade as 100.
Document Verification – Candidates shortlisted for document verification will have to report with the following original documents and 02 sets of self-attested photocopies of each documents:
1. Original 10th Class Marks sheet/ Certificate.
2. Original Caste/ Community Certificate.
3. Original PWD certificate (if applicable).
4. Original Transgender certificate (if applicable).
5. Original Date of Birth Proof.
6. Medical certificate. The certificate should be from Medical officer of any Govt Hospital/ Govt Dispensaries/ Govt Primary Health Centre etc (Compulsory).
Online Application form, Important Dates and Notification
Eligible and interested candidates may apply online for the India Post GDS Recruitment through the website www.indiapost.gov.in or indiapostgdsonline.gov.in up to 16th Feb 2023. Before applying online, keep ready scanned images of Photograph (Max 50 Kb) and Signature (Max 20 Kb) in jpg/ jpeg format for uploading online while completing the application submission process. To apply online follow the important instructions below:
Registration – Firstly complete the registration process with filling Mobile Number, Email ID, Applicant Name, Father Name/ Mother Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Caste/ Community etc details. Note down the system generated Registration number for further requirements.
Online Application – Now open the online application form link to complete the application submission process. Complete all the steps in this part such as address details, marks/ grades/ points, choice of preferences and division for document verification.
Fee Payment – Finally, pay the application fee through online mode using Credit/ Debit cards, Net Banking and UPI (SC, ST, Female and PWD candidates are not required to pay the fee).
The printout of online application form or any other documents are not required to send to the India Post Department.
Candidates are required to pay Rs 100/- as application fee. The fee can be paid through online mode using Credit Card/ Debit Card and Net Banking facility/ UPI. SC, ST, Female and PwD candidates are not required to pay the fee.
