Indian Army Havildar SAC Bharti Exam
Surveyor Automated Cartographer are directly recruited as Havildar into the Corps of Engineers. The duties of SAC include the advancement in the field of Digital Cartography, GIS and also the integration of GIS enabled Decision Support Systems as Force Multipliers in the Indian Army.
Pay Scale (Salary) – Rs 5200-20200 (PB-1) with GP Rs 2800

Civilian Candidates – 20 to 25 years (born between 01 Oct 1994 to 01 Oct 1999)
Serving Candidates – Maximum 28 years (born between 01 Oct 1991 to 01 Oct 1999)
Educational Qualification – B.A/ B.Sc with Mathematics and must have passed 12th Class (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized Board or University.
Selection Process, Physical and Exam Pattern
Havildar Surveyor Automated Cartographer Selection Process will consist of Screening (Checking of documents, Physical Fitness Test & Medical Examination) and Written Exam, which will be conducted at respective Headquarters Recruiting Zone.
Height: Western Himalayan – 163 Cms, Eastern Himalayan – 160 Cms, Western Plains – 170 Cms, Eastern Plains – 169 Cms, Central Plains – 168 Cms, Southern Plains – 166 Cms, Gorkhas – 157 Cms, Ladakhi – 157 Cms, Andaman & Nicobar Island, Lakshadweep Gp incl Minicoys (Locals) – 155 Cms, Andaman & Nicobar Island, Lakshadweep Gp incl Minicoys (Settlers) – 165 Cms
Chest: Minimum 77 Cms
Weight: 50 Kgs (48 Kgs for Western Himalayan, Eastern Himalayan and Gorkhas)
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
1.6 Kms Run/ Race – Upto 05 Minutes 30 Seconds (Group 1 ) and 05 Minutes 31 Seconds to 05 Minutes 45 Seconds (Group-2)
Provisions for extra time for 1.6 Kms run in Hilly Terrain Areas: Between 5000 feet to 9000 feet – additional 30 Seconds and Between 9000 feet to 12000 feet – additional 120 Seconds
Pull Ups (Beam) – Minimum 06 pull ups
Zig Zag Balance – Qualify
09 Feet Ditch – Qualify
Written Exam Pattern – Candidates qualified in Screening Tests will be allowed to appear in the written exam (objective type) at respective Headquarters Recruiting Zone on 23 February 2020. Havildar Surveyor Automated Cartographer written exam will comprise of two papers as follows:
Paper-1 (Mathematics) – 50 Questions (100 Marks)
Paper-2 (Physics and Chemistry) – 50 Questions (100 Marks)
There will be negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to score minimum 40 marks in Paper 1 & Paper 2 separately to be declared pass in the Havildar Surveyor Automated Cartographer (SAC) written exam.
After the written exam, the result and merit list of the successful candidates will be declared by HQ RTG Zone Ambala through the official website. Thereafter, selected candidates will undergo 19 Weeks of Basic Military Training at BEG and Center, Roorkee. On successful completion of Basic Technical Training of 58 Weeks the candidates will be enrolled in the rank of Havildar (Surveyor Automated Cartographer).

Mathematics – Algebra, Vector Algebra & Trigonometry, Matrices & Determinants, Analytical & 3D Geometry, Integral & Differential Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Number Systems & Complex numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations & Mensuration, Area, Volume and Surface Area, Binomial theorem & Sequence and series, Permutation and Combination.
Physics – Physical Properties and States of Matter, Mass, Weight, Volume, Density and Specific Gravity, Principle of Archimedes, Pressure Barometer, Motion of objects, Velocity and Acceleration, Newton’s Laws of Motion, Force and Momentum, Parallelogram of Forces, Stability and Equilibrium of bodies, Gravitation, elementary ideas of work, Power and Energy, Heat and its Effects, Sound waves and their properties, Reflection and refraction. Spherical mirrors and Lenses, Type and properties of magnet, Static and Current Electricity, conductors and Non-conductors, Ohms Law, Simple Electrical Circuits, Heating.
Chemistry – Physical and Chemical changes, Elements, Mixtures and Compounds, Symbols, Formulae and simple Chemical Equations, Law of Chemical Combination, Properties of Air and Water, Preparation and Properties of Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen and Carbondioxide, Oxidation and Reduction, Acids, bases and salts, Carbon and its forms, Natural and Artificial Fertilizers, Elementary ideas about the Structure of Atom, Atomic, Equivalent and Molecular Weights, Valency.

Online Application form and Notification
Eligible and interested Civil Candidates can submit their applications for Havildar Surveyor Automated Cartographer Recruitment online through the website joinindianarmy.nic.in from 01 October to 30 October 2019. Candidates are required to register and submit online application form on the website joinindanarmy.nic.in. Serving Soldier candidates are required to submit written application (Offline) in the prescribed form through official channel to respective Record Offices.
