Age Limit (As on 01.07.2021):
JE (Rural Works Dept and Panchayati Raj Dept) – 18 to 43 years i.e. candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1978 and not later than 01.07.2003.
JE (All Other Departments) – 21 to 43 years i.e. candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1978 and not later than 01.07.2000.
Relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable as per Govt rules. Relaxation of 01 year has been provided in the upper age limit for the selection year 2021-22 for the posts of Group C.
Educational Qualification – Diploma in relevant Engineering Branch (Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Agricultural Engineering) from any recognized University/ Institution/ Polytechnic. The candidate should be registered in any of the Employment Offices of Uttarakhand till last date of submission of application form.

UKPSC Uttarakhand JE Selection Process and Exam Syllabus
Uttarakhand JE selection process to be completed by UKPSC will be done under the provisions mentioned in the latest prevailing Acts/ Manuals/ Guiding Principles and decisions taken by the Commission etc from time to time (Ayog Rules/ Niyamavali).
The selection process will consist of Written exam of 920 Marks followed by Interview (Personality Test) of 100 Marks, as per the pattern below:
General Aptitude Test:
The General Aptitude Test will consist of General Hindi and General English subjects and will be of total 200 Marks (100 Marks each subject). The exam of each subject (General Hindi and General English) will be of 02 Hours duration and will comprise of objective type questions (01 mark each). One-fourth of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted as negative marking for each wrong answer given by the candidates.
General Hindi – 100 Questions (100 Marks)

The engineering subject exam (paper 1st and 2nd) will be of total 720 Marks. The exam for each engineering subject (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Agricultural) paper 1st/2nd will be of 03 Hours duration and will comprise of objective type questions (02 marks each). One-fourth of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted as negative marking for each wrong answer given by the candidates.
Civil Engineering (1st/2nd Paper) – 180 Questions (360 Marks)
Mechanical Engineering (1st/2nd Paper) – 180 Questions (360 Marks)
Electrical Engineering (1st/2nd Paper) – 180 Questions (360 Marks)
Agricultural Engineering (1st/2nd Paper) – 180 Questions (360 Marks)
Interview (Personality Test):
The Interview (Personality Test) will be of maximum 100 Marks. The test will be conducted at UKPSC Haridwar.
Final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in written exam plus interview depending on category wise number of vacancies.

Online Application Form, Important Dates and Notification
Eligible and interested candidates can submit online application form for the UKPSC Uttarakhand JE Recruitment (Combined State Junior Engineer Service Exam) through the website ukpsc.gov.in or ukpsc.net.in up to 17 December 2021. Before applying online, keep ready your mobile number, email id and scanned images of recent colour passport size photograph (20 to 50 KB) and signature (10 to 50 KB) in JPG/JPEG format. After successful submission of application, keep your E-mail ID and Password secure and take a print out of the computer generated form for reference.

Keeping in view the adverse effect on employment and economy due to Covid-19, the Government of Uttarakhand has decided not to charge the application fee till 31.03.2022 to free the applicants from the cost of fee charged for the applications invited for recruitment. In view of the above, the application fee will not be charged from the applicants for the examination.
