Eligibility Criteria (Age, Educational and Sports Qualification)

Age Limit – 18 to 23 Years as on closing date of receipt of applications. Relaxation in upper age limit for UR, SC, ST, OBC and other categories will be applicable as per the Central Govt rules.

Educational Qualification – 10th Pass (Matriculation) from any recognized Board.

Sports Qualification – Players who have represented in any recognized International events representing the country. OR Players represented a State/UT in the Senior or Junior level National championship. OR Players represented a University in an Inter-University competition. OR Players represented the State Schools in the National Sports/Games for Schools. OR Players awarded National Award in physical efficiency under National physical efficiency Drive. OR Players represented State/ Union Territory/ University/ State Schools Teams but could not win a medal or position.

Sports qualification will be taken on consideration of the participation/ achievements by the candidates in the past 02 years only (cut off date for determining the eligibility criteria will be the closing date of receipt of application).

SSB Sports Quota Selection Process and Physical Standards

The recruitment process will consist of Documentation, Checking of Sports Achievement, Field Trial, Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination. Eligible candidates whose application form is found to be in order will be issued Admit Card (Call letter) indicating the date and venue to appear in the selection process.

After verification of biometric, photograph, signature and admit card at the recruitment venue, candidates will have to go through different recruitment stages as follows (in sequence):
1. Documentation.
2. Field Trial/ Skill Test (Including checking of sports achievements).
3. Physical Standard Test (PST).
4. Medical Examination (DME/ RME).
5. Final Selection.

For selection as Constable (General Duty) or CT(GD), final merit list of qualified candidates will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Documentation/ Checking of Sports Achievements, Field Trial, age factor and vacancy in the particular event & weight category.

Physical Standards (Height, Chest and Weight):
Height:
Gen/SC/OBC Category: Male-170 Cms and Female-157 Cms.
Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas and candidates from Assam, Himachal Pradesh, UT J&K and UT Ladakh: Male-165 Cms and Female-155 Cms.
ST Category: Male-162.5 Cms and Female-150 Cms.

Chest (Only for Male candidates):
Gen/SC/OBC Category: 80-85 Cms.

Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas and candidates from Assam, Himachal Pradesh, UT J&K and UT Ladakh: 78-83 Cms.
ST Category: 76-81 Cms.

Weight (Male and Female) – Proportionate to height and age as per Medical Standards.

Application Form, Required Documents and Notification

Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the SSB Sports Quota Recruitment Constable Vacancies in the prescribed application form (Offline) by downloading directly through the link below from www.ssbrectt.gov.in. Send the SSB Sports Quota Application form complete in all respect along with the following self-attested documents to the respective application receiving authority (see official notification) so as to reach on or before the last date.

Envelope containing the application must be superscribed in block letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF (NAME OF POST APPLIED)-2022”. Candidates are advised to go through the SSB Sports Quota Bharti notification by downloading through the link below.

Documents Required to be Attached with application form:
1. Matriculation certificate in support of Name and Age.
2. All Certificates in support of educational qualifications.
3. Caste Certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC).
4. Certificate for relaxation in height and chest issued by Competent Authority (District Magistrate/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Tehsildar).
5. Domicile/ Nativity Certificate.
6. Sports Certificates related to the event/ discipline.
7. Two recent passport size photographs.
8. Application fee of Rs 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) in the form of Postal Order/ Demand Draft drawn in favour of the officer and payable at mentioned in recruitment notice.

Application fee:
UR/ EWS/ OBC candidates will have to pay Rs. 100/- as application fee in the form of Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft drawn in favor of the concerned officer. SC/ST and female candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
