Indian Navy invited online applications from 10th pass candidates for 200 Vacancies (including 40 vacancies for female) of Agniveer (MR) for 01/2022 batch commencing in Dec 2022. All eligible unmarried male and female candidates can apply online for the Agniveer MR Vacancies (Steward, Chef and Hygienist) through the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in from 25th July to 30th July 2022. Indian Navy MR Bharti 10th Pass Agniveer Vacancies
As per the Agnipath Scheme, the Agniveers will be enrolled in the Indian Navy for a period of 04 years. On completion of 04 years of service, based on organization’s requirements and policies, Agniveers will be offered an opportunity to apply for Permanent enrolment (Regular cadre) in the Indian Navy as Sailor MR (Metric Recruit).
The applications for regular cadre will be considered in centralized manner based on objective criteria including performance during their 04 years engagement period. Up to 25% of each specific batch of Agniveers will be enrolled in Indian Navy for further re-engagement as Sailor (Regular Cadre).

Total Number of Vacancies – 200 Posts (including a maximum of 40 female only). There is no reservation of vacancies for the candidates from SC/ ST category.
Pay, Allowances and Allied Benefits – Agniveer will be paid a package of Rs 30000 /month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, risk and hardship, dress and travel allowances will be paid.
Agniveer (MR) Job Specifications:
Steward – Required to serve food in the officers’ messes as waiters, housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores, preparation of menu etc. In addition, Steward will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.
Chef – Required to prepare food as per menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian including handling of meat products) and accounting of ration. In addition, Chef will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.
Hygienist – Required to clean washroom, shower spaces and other areas. In addition, Hygienist will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.
Eligibility Criteria (Age, Qualification and Physical Standards)
Age Limit – 17½ to 23 years as on the day of enrolment i.e. candidate should be born between 01 Dec 1999 and 31 May 2005 (both days inclusive). One-time relaxation of upper age limit up to 23 years is applicable for the Agniveer 2022 batch only.
Educational Qualification – 10th Pass (Matriculation) from a recognized Board.
Physical and Medical Standards:
Height – Male: 157 Cms and Female: 152 Cms.
Weight – Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.
Visual Standards (Chef/ Steward/ Hygienist):
Without Glasses – Better Eye: 6/6 and Worse Eye: 6/9.
With Glasses – Better Eye: 6/6 and Worse Eye: 6/6.
The candidate must be in good physical and mental health, free from any defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties both ashore and afloat under peace as well as war conditions.
Tattoos – Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e. from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reversed side of palm/ back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body is not acceptable and candidate will be barred from recruitment.
Indian Navy MR Selection Process and Physical Fitness Test
Indian Navy Agniveer MR (Matric Recruit) selection process will consist of Written examination, Physical fitness test (PFT) and Medical examination. The shortlisting of the candidates for written exam and PFT will be based on percentage of 10th examination. The cut off marks may vary from state to state as vacancies are allocated in a state-wise manner.
Agniveer (MR) male and female candidates will be shortlisted state wise for the written exam and PFT in a ratio of four times the vacancies. The shortlisted candidates will be issued Admit Card (Call-up letter) for written examination and PFT through the official website (will not be sent by Post). Aadhar Card is mandatory for written exam/ PFT.
The MR Question paper will consist of objective type questions and will be bilingual (Hindi & English). The exam will be of maximum 50 Marks (45 Minutes duration) and all candidates appearing in the written exam will be subjected to PFT on the same day. The question paper will be of 10th standard level and will comprise of two sections (Science & Mathematics and General Knowledge). Agniveer MR Syllabus is given on the link below.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
Male Candidates – The PFT will consist of 1.6 Kms run within 06 minutes 30 seconds, 20 Squats (Uthak Baithak) and 12 Push-ups.
Female Candidates – The PFT will consist of 1.6 Kms run within 08 minutes, 15 Squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Bent Knee Sit-ups.
Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test is mandatory for selection. Proficiency in Sports, Swimming and extra curricular activities is desirable.
Thereafter, merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in written exam subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT). Merit list for Agniveer (MR) Male candidates will be prepared State-wise, while merit list for Agniveer (MR) Female candidates will be based on all India merit. In case of candidates securing similar cut off marks in Computer Based Examination, the candidate with higher percentage in 10th Class will be selected.
The MR Result (Merit list) for Dec 2022 Batch will be published by Nov 2022. Finally, candidates will be issued call letter for enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka and verification before commencement of training.
The training for the course will commence in Dec 2022 at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments. Branch/ Trade will be allocated as per the requirement of Service.
Online Application form and Recruitment Notification
Eligible and desirous candidates are required to apply online for the Indian Navy MR Recruitment 2022-2023 through the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in from 25th July to 30th July 2022. Keep ready scanned copies of color photograph with blue background, 10th mark sheet & certificate, domicile certificate etc required documents to upload online with the application form.
After successful submission of online application take a copy of the system generated application form for further requirements. You’ll have to carry all original certificates, mark sheet, domicile certificate, NCC certificate (if held) and call letter/ admit card at all stages of recruitment.
Given the risk of COVID-19, candidates are advised to follow all instructions/ guidelines issued by central/ state governments from time to time. At the entrance any candidate showing symptoms of influenza like illness (ILI), will not be allowed for the tests considering the safety of other persons.
