KVS PRT Exam Scheme (Pattern)
KVS PRT selection process will consist of a written exam and interview. As per the latest KVS PRT Pattern (Scheme), the question paper will comprise of Part 1 (General Hindi and General English) and Part 2 (General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Reasoning Ability, Computer Literacy, Padagogy and Subject Paper). KVS PRT written exam will consist of total 150 Objective type multiple choice questions (01 Mark each). The exam will be of total 150 Marks and 2.30 Hours (150 Minutes) duration as per the detailed Pattern (Scheme) and Syllabus below:
PRT Exam duration – 2.30 Hours (150 Minutes)
Total Questions – 150 (Objective type multiple choice questions)
Total Marks – 150 Marks
General English – 10 Questions (01 mark each)
General Hindi – 10 Questions (01 mark each)
General Knowledge and Current Affairs – 10 Questions (01 mark each)
Reasoning Ability – 10 Questions (01 mark each)
Computer Literacy – 10 Questions (01 mark each)
Padagogy (Childhood and development of children, Education and curriculum, Methodology, Diversity, Gender and Inclusive Education) – 20 Questions (01 mark each)
Subject Paper – 80 Questions (01 mark each)
Interview – 60 Marks
(You will be called for the Interview on the basis of performance in written exam. After the interview, PRT final merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in written exam and interview with the weightage of 85:15)

In the PRT written exam the subject paper will be set to assess the ability in Core language Competency (Hindi and English), General Science, General Maths and Environmental Science as per the detailed Syllabus below:

The candidate should have adequate understanding of English and Hindi language to deal with students of Elementary Classes. The ability to comprehend the texts and express then effectively in writing/ orally will be measured through written test and interview.
