Bombay Engineer Group and Centre, Kirkee (Pune) has released a notification for the recruitment of Civilian posts under Ministry of Defence. BEG Centre Kirkee invited applications for filling up the following 65 Vacancies of Storekeeper, Civilian Trade Instructor (Regimental Surveyor Technical, Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Artisan etc), Cook, Lascar, MTS and Barber under Group C. Eligibility Criteria (Age and Educational Qualification)

Age Limit (All Posts) – 18 to 25 years as on closing date of receipt of application (relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ Ex-Serviceman/ Government Employee/ Women candidate will be applicable as per Govt rules).

Educational Qualification:
Storekeeper – 12th Pass (10+2) from a recognized Board or its equivalent qualification. Minimum 01 year experience in similar work, Knowledge of Computer in MS Word and Certificate course in Storekeeper/ Store Management are desirable qualifications.
Civilian Trade Instructor – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board with Industrial Training Institute OR National Certificate of Trade & Vocational Training in relevant trade.
Cook – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and must have knowledge of Indian Cooking and proficiency in trade.
Lascar, MTS (Messenger, Watchman, Gardener & Safaiwala) and Barber – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board. Candidate should be conversant with the duties of the respective trades with 01 year experience in the trade.
MTS (Washerman) – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and candidate must be able to wash Military/ Civilian cloths thoroughly well.

BEG Centre Kirkee Recruitment Process and Exam Syllabus

The selection process will consist of written test and skill/ practical test. Candidates qualified in written exam will have to undergo skill/ practical test (as applicable). The recruitment tests will be conducted at Headquarters, BEG and Centre Kirkee (Pune). Exam date, time and venue for written test for all categories will be intimated in the Admit Card (Call letter) only to individuals whose applications are found correct in all respects after scrutiny.

In case of large number of applications received, candidates could be shortlisted for the exam on basis of percentage of marks obtained in exam of essential educational qualifications.

Written Examination – The written test will consist of objective type questions of the level of Class 10th/ 12th/ ITI as per educational qualification of respective post. The question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) and will comprise of questions based on General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, General English and Numerical Aptitude.

For selection, final merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in written test subject to qualifying the skill/ trade/ practical test (as applicable), medical fitness test, police verification, education and caste verification.

Application Form, Required Documents and Notification

Eligible and interested candidates may apply for the BEG Centre Kirkee Civilian Defence Vacancies in the prescribed application form (offline) by downloading from the Bombay Sappers Association website www.bsakirkee.org through the link below. Candidates applying for more than one post will have to submit separate application for each post. Send application form complete in all respect along with the following required documents through Ordinary/ Registered/ Speed Post to The Commandant, Bombay Engineer Group and Centre, Kirkee, Pune – 411003 so as to reach on or before closing date.

Envelope containing application must be superscribed in Capital letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _____________ Category: (UR/ OBC/ SC/ ST/ EWS) (ESM/ PWD)”.

Required documents – Self-attested photocopies of the following documents/ certificates must be attached with the application form:
1. 10th Pass (Matriculation) Certificate (for all posts)
2. 12th (10+2) Pass Certificate (for Storekeeper post only).
3. ITI/ NCTVT Certificate (for Civilian Trade Instructor post only).
4. Passing Certificate of Diploma/ Graduation/ Post Graduation/ Professional Course/ Any other Higher Education etc (if available) (for all posts).
5. Aadhaar Card and PAN Card (for all posts).
6. Experience Certificate (if available) (for all posts).
7. Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC candidates only).
8. Latest/ Valid ‘Non Creamy Layer Certificate’ (for OBC candidates only).
9. Latest/ Valid ‘Economically Weaker Sections Certificate’ (for EWS candidates only).
10. Disability Certificate showing disability 40% and above issued by CMO/ Civil Surgeon of Govt Hospital (for PWD candidates only).
11. Discharge Certificate (for Ex-Serviceman only).
12. NOC from present employer (if the applicant is already a Central/State Govt/ PSU Servant).
13. Two self-addressed envelopes affixed with Rs 22/- postal stamp on each.
14. Admit Card (should be filled by Candidate) in prescribed format.
