Recruitment Process, Physical and Exam Syllabus

The selection process will consist of Physical test, Practical and Written test. The physical and practical tests will be qualifying in nature. The recruitment tests will be conducted at Reception Centre (Recruitment Cell) of 45 Company Army Service Corps (Supply) Type ‘B’ on dates mentioned in acknowledgement card (admit card/ call letter). The Admit Card will be sent by Registered Post to only those applicants whose application and all supporting documents are found complete and correct.

Final selection of candidates will be based on the written test merit subject to Medical Fitness tests and verification of Character and Antecedents, SC/ST and OBC status, Education qualification certificates & Experience certificates and verification of all documents/ certificates from issuing Authority.

Physical Standards: Height: 165 Cms, Chest: 81.5-85 Cms, Weight: Min 50 Kgs

Endurance Test: Carrying a man (fireman lift of 65.5 Kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds), Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet (long jump) and Climbing 03 meters vertical rope using hands and feet.

Written Test: The written exam (10th level) will be of 02 hours duration and will consist of 100 Objective type questions of total 100 Marks (01 Mark each). Minimum passing marks will be 33%. The written test will comprise of four parts as per the exam pattern and syllabus below:

General Intelligence [25 Questions (25 Marks)] – Questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

English Language [25 Questions (25 Marks)] – In addition to the testing of candidates understanding of the English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage etc his/her writing ability would be tested.

Numerical Aptitude [25 Questions (25 Marks)] – Questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work etc.

General Awareness (incl trade specific questions) [25 Questions (25 Marks)] – General awareness, current events, questions related to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic science, General Policy including Indian Constitution and Scientific Research and question related to trade work etc.
