BSF Paramedical Staff Bharti 110 SI ASI Constable 2021-2022

Border Security Force (BSF) invited online applications for filling up the following 110 Vacancies of SI, ASI, HC and Constable in the Para Medical Staff (PMS) and Veterinary Staff (VET). All eligible male and female candidates can apply online for the posts of SI Staff Nurse, ASI OT Technician, ASI Lab Technician, Constable Ward Boy/ Girl, HC Veterinary and Constable Kennelman through rectt.bsf.gov.in up to 26 July 2021. Head Constable (HC) – Rs 25500-81100 Level-4 (Old scale Rs 5200-20200 with GP Rs 2400).

Age Limit (As on 26.07.2021):
SI (Staff Nurse) – 21 to 30 years
ASI (OT Technician) – 20 to 25 years
ASI (Lab Technician) – 18 to 25 years
Head Constable (Veterinary) – 18 to 25 years
Constable (Ward Boy/ Ward Girl/ Aya) – 18 to 23 years
Constable (Kennelman) – 18 to 25 years
Note – Relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable as per Govt rules.

Post wise Vacancy Details and Educational Qualification

SI (Staff Nurse) – 37 Vacancies (UR-14, EWS-03, SC-05, ST-02, OBC-13)
Qualification – 12th Pass (10+2) and Degree/ Diploma in General Nursing Programme with Registration as General Nurse and Midwife with Central/ State Nursing Council. Experience in the field of Tuberculosis, Hospital Administration, Sister Tutor, Public health, Pediatrics and Psychiatry is desirable.

ASI (Operation Theatre Technician) – 01 Vacancy (OBC-01)
Qualification – 12th Pass (10+2) with Science or equivalent qualification and Diploma in Operation Technique or Certificate in relevant subject from an Institute recognized by the Central/ State Government.

ASI (Laboratory Technician) – 28 Vacancies (UR-12, EWS-03, SC-04, ST-02, OBC-07)
Qualification – 12th Pass (10+2) with Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/ Institution and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized Institution of the Central/ State Government.

Constable (Ward Boy/ Ward Girl/ Aya) – 09 Vacancies (UR-02, ST-02, OBC-05)
Qualification – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University and 02 years work experience in respective trades OR 01 year Certificate Course from a recognized Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Institute with at least 01 year experience in the trade OR 02 years Diploma from recognized Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade. Multi-skilled candidates will be given preference.

Head Constable (Veterinary) – 20 Vacancies (UR-09, EWS-02, SC-03, ST-02, OBC-04)
Qualification – 12th Pass (10+2) from a recognized Board and minimum 01 year course in Veterinary Stock Assistant from any recognized Institution and having at least 01 year post qualification experience.

Constable (Kennelman) – 15 Vacancies (UR-09, EWS-01, SC-01, ST-03, OBC-01)
Qualification – 10th Pass (Matriculation) from a recognized Board and 02 years experience in handling of animals from Government Veterinary hospital or dispensary of Veterinary College or Government Farm.

Selection Process, Exam Syllabus and Physical (PST/ PET)

The selection process for Para Medical Staff (PMS) and Veterinary Staff (VET) will be completed in 02 phases. In the 1st phase, there will be a written exam conducted and then candidates qualified in written exam will be called for PST, PET, Documentation and Medical examination (qualifying in nature) in 2nd phase.

The recruitment process will consist of Phase 1 (Written Exam) and Phase 2 (PST, PET, Documentation and Medical Examination) as per the details below:

First Phase (Written Examination)

In the 1st phase, all eligible candidates will be called to appear in OMR based written exam scheduled on the date and time fixed by the department at the selected exam centers. Call letter (Admit Card) indicating the date, time and venue for written exam will be uploaded on the official website for all candidates found eligible for the post. The question paper will be of total 02 Hours duration and will comprise of 100 objective type multiple choice questions (1 mark each). The qualifying marks for written exam will be 45% for General/ EWS/ OBC candidates and 40% for SC/ ST candidates.

Trade Knowledge Test (Knowledge of Local Animal Husbandry Practices( Animal Housing, Feeding, Grooming, Restraining, Equipment, Seasonal Care, Body parts life span), Knowledge of breeds of animals(Cattle, Equines, Dogs, Camels, Poultry), General Knowledge of local animal diseases and breeding) – 50 Questions

Second Phase (PST, PET, Documentation and Medical Exam)

Candidates declared qualified in the written exam will be called to appear for the second phase examination (PST, PET, documentation and MET). However, number of candidates to be called for the 2nd phase exam may be restricted to the 10 times the number of vacancies advertised or number of candidates qualified in written exam whichever is lesser.

Physical Standard Test (PST):
The PST will be carried out by the Board of Officers to assess the height, weight and chest of candidates according to the physical standards as given below:

For SI (Staff Nurse), ASI (OT Technician), ASI (Lab Technician), HC (Veterinary) and Constable (Kennelman)
Height – Male: 165 Cms and Female: 150 Cms
Chest (Only for male candidates): 76-81 Cms
Weight (Male/ Female candidates): Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

For Constable (Ward Boy/ Ward Girl/ Aya)
Height – Male: 167.5 Cms and Female: 157 Cms
Relaxation in Height – The minimum height for Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, UT of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will be 165 Cms for Male and 155 Cms for Female. The minimum height for ST candidates will be 162.5 Cms for male and 150 Cms for female.
Chest (Only for male candidates): 78-83 Cms (76-81 Cms for ST Candidates)
Weight (Male/ Female candidates): Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for all Posts:
Candidates qualified in the Physical Standards Test (PST) will be put through Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PET will be of qualifying nature (will not carry any mark) and it will be exempted for Ex-servicemen. Candidates are required to qualify the following PET events:
Run/ Race – Male: 1.6 Kms in 07 Minutes and Female: 800 Meters in 05 Minutes
Long Jump – Male: 11 Feet (03 chances) and Female: 08 Feet (in 03 chances)
High Jump – Male: 3.5 Feet (3 chances) and Female: 2.5 Feet (3 chances)

Documentation – Original testimonials/ certificates like age, educational qualification, caste certificate, experience certificate etc will be checked to confirm the eligibility of the candidates at the Centre on the date and time (intimated through Email/ SMS) fixed by the department.

Medical Examination – Finally, candidates qualified in Documentation will undergo detailed medical examination, which will be carried out by a Medical board to assess their medical fitness for appointment in BSF.

For final selection in BSF Paramedical Staff and Veterinary Staff, category wise merit will be drawn separately for each posts on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained in written exam.

BSF Paramedical Staff Application Form, Fee and Notification

Eligible and interested candidates are required to register and submit online application form for the BSF Paramedical Staff and Veterinary Staff Recruitment through rectt.bsf.gov.in up to 26 July 2021. Before applying online, keep ready educational qualification details, email Id, mobile number and scanned copies of passport size photograph, signature, thumb Impression and supportive documents. The digital size of photograph, signature, thumb impression and documents should not be more than 50 KB. To apply online for BSF Paramedical Staff and Veterinary Staff Bharti, follow the important instructions below:

STEP 1 (One Time Registration) – Firstly go to the One Time Registration (OTR) Page and submit the required details as personal information, address details, qualification details, work experience, certificate/ document and other details. After successful completion of registration, a Registration ID and Password will be generated and sent to you through the registered Email Id and Mobile number.

STEP 2 (Filling of Online Application) – Now go to the Login Page and use Registration ID and Password (generated in Step 1) to login to the recruitment portal. Fill the application form with all the required details and upload photograph, signature, thumb impression and supportive documents.

STEP 3 (Payment of Application fee) – Finally, pay the application fee (if applicable) through online mode using Net banking, Debit Card, Credit Card and nearest Common Service Centre. Thereafter take a print out of online application form for record/ reference. Printout of application form is not required to be sent to BSF.

The requisite fee can be paid through Net banking, Debit Card, Credit Card and nearest Common Service Centre. SC/ST, BSF Serving personnel, Ex-servicemen and Female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
