SSB Recruitment 2013 - Apply for 28 ASI (Steno) Vacancies

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) invites Applications in the prescribed format from eligible Male/Female candidates for filling up the following vacancies of Group-C Non-Gazetted (Combatised), Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer) in the pay scale of (Pay Band-I) Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2800/- per month.
Total Number of Vacancies: 28
UR: 13 + 03 (Ex-Servicemen), SC: 03, ST: 02, OBC: 07

Age Limit: 18 to 25 years (as on 01.08.2013).

Educational Qualification:
Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a Recognized board/University or equivalent.

Selection/Recruitment Process:
The selection process shall consist of Documentation, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Test, Skill Test and Medical Examination. The final selection list will be prepared in order of merit, category wise, after completion of Review Medical Examination.

Application Fee:
The candidates belonging to General and OBC Category will be required to pay Rs. 50/- as application fee in the form of Bank Draft/IPO. SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen and female candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee. The Bank Draft/IPO can be prepared in favour of “Accounts Officer, FTR Hqrs. SSB Guwahati” payable at SBI Guwahati, Assam.

How to apply:
Eligible and desirous candidates can send their Applications in the prescribed pro-forma complete in all respect along with Admit Card duly filled in, with self attested passport size photographs affixed, application fee, self attested copies of required documents etc. addressed to:
The Inspector General, FTR HQ (SSB),
Guwahati, Nikita Complex, 345,
G.S.Road, Khanapara, Guwahati (Assam)
PIN: 781022.

Self attested copies of the following documents required to attach with the application form:
  • Matriculation and 10+2 pass Certificate.
  • Date of birth certificate (Matriculation or 10+2 pass certificate).
  • SC/ST/OBC Certificates on the prescribed pro-forma (if applicable).
  • Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order worth Rs. 50/-.
  • Two self addressed envelopes with postage stamps worth Rs. 25/- each.
  • Discharge certificate in case of Ex-Serviceman.
  • Bonafide/Domicile/Permanent resident certificate issued by local revenue authorities for verification of citizenship.
  • Certificate for claiming relaxation in height & chest (if applicable).
Envelope containing Application must be subscribed in bold letters as APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF “ASSISTANT SUB-INSPECTOR (STENOGRAPHER)”.
